This was a project from August 2016. The client approached me to help in preparation for an educational booth at the Ekka. The intent of the booth is to teach children about the drinking water infrastructure in Southeast Queensland. The idea is to allow children to learn about the water grid and the infrastructure responsible for turning catchment water into tap water through playing with a physically interactive map. The request was to make a bunch of small token pieces that represent water treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs and domestic houses that can be placed on the map to provide hands on explanation of how the process works. I designed simplified models of the assets and made about 25 pieces of each.
