Hamper Stand

This was a project from August 2016. Back then I lived in a tiny rental apartment where the only place to put a laundry hamper inside the bathroom was in a spot that pools water because the shower leaked. My solution was to design my own flood resilience device that raised the hamper by about 5 cm. The stands were designed with through holes in them that was the perfect size for spare dowel sticks I had in the house. The design allowed the sticks to slide around until the fit was just right. Than I hammered a nail through them to lock them in place and sawed off the excess. I also chemically polished the pieces to ensure that the surface was smoothed and sealed to avoid any water getting trapped inside.
